A Fall Home Tour

I love fall. Pumpkins, mums, blankets, sweater and boot weather.. & Pumpkin Spiced Lattes! I mean it doesn’t get much better than that. Here in California we have been fighting off the heat. This is the first week it has dropped below 70 and I am ecstatic.

It only took me one cooler day to pull out my scarves, boots, and sweaters. I am ready Fall. I took out the Fall decor early this year, September 1st to be exact. But it took me a while to feel like everything was “just right”. I have finally stopped moving things around, which makes my husband very happy, and have started enjoying waking up to my fall home. I am so excited to share it with you all, and hope you are inspired to try and think outside the box this fall.

In celebration of the fall weather, the littles and I made an Apple pie and some delicious pumpkin muffins. The pie is homemade… I am still in awe that I made this thing!I don’t bake people! The cool weather made me do it. My house smelled like a bakery and it was fantastic.

These muffins are a box mix from Trader Joes. If you haven’t tried these gluten free heaven like creations, do it now. Like literally leave my blog, buy some, and make them NOW… They are out of this world good. My little guy is one picky eater and he loves these things. They make about 17 muffins and every time I make them they are gone in 24 hours. I would blame the children but I would be lying.

My vision for this years Fall theme was neutral with a touch of color. I think I went overboard with the color… but I just can’t help it. I love color.

I haven’t had time for too many DIY projects, but this pillow made the to do list. The slip cover is from Ikea and I used a stencil I ordered from my favorite stencil maker Sarah, and painted it using fabric paint. It was a ten minute project and worth every second.

My entry way is an ever-changing space, but I love trying to make it cozy, welcoming, and inviting. What better way to invite people in than cozy blankets and pumpkins.
