Little Girl Room Makeover

It is hard to believe it is already time to do a little girl room makeover for our sweet girl. It seems like yesterday she was coming home from the hospital with an unfinished nursery. You can see her nursery here.

As usual, we went in with a small budget for our little girls room makeover! We bought our rug from our local OC Goodwill, but you can find a similar one here as well. We found her bed on the side of the road, and added a few new Ikea pieces to mix. Other than that it is the power of paint!!!

You can find out how I did the sun by checking out my highlights on my instagram stories. The paint color is “Sand Dance” by Behr. I used matte paint so it would stand out against the satin wall and would look a little more modern as well. The white color we use is “Simply White”, by Benjamin Moore.

When it comes to kids storage, one of the most important things is having a place for everything. This will keep you organized and will help your little one learn how to put things away. This Ikea storage unit is perfect in our new little girls room, and I love that she can reach everything! Its also very budget friendly. You can mix and match the sizes of bins you want, and Ikea has ones that hang on walls as well.

The long shelf is a trend I am loving lately. You can achieve this method in different ways. On our Bathroom Remodel, I used another piece of smaller wood to secure the long shelf. On this project, I purchased this set of brackets from Amazon, and purchased a long piece of pine from Home Depot. This is anther budget friendly project, and very easy!

We are loving our little girls room makeover, and we know she loves it even more! I mean, look at this face.
