Fall is HERE!! Well almost. Its still in the high 80’s and 90’s here in Cali, but I am in full fall mode, pumpkin spiced lattes and all. I’ve got the air cranked high and the scents of autumn in the candles burning around me. If you are itching to enjoy fall like me the first step is Pumpkins!! The only problem is most stores don’t start selling pumpkins until later in the month. Luckily I have the perfect solution to our problem. These no sew pumpkins are cheap, easy, and a perfect addition to your fall home.
This DIY Pumpkin is so easy even a toddler can do it. Literally, I let me little ones help me make these and they still look great.
1 roll of toilet paper
Tissue Paper (the kind you wrap a gift with)
1 piece of fabric measuring 24″X 20″
1 stick about 4 inches long- try to find a thick one
Cut a piece of fabric about 24″x 20″
Place the roll of toilet paper in the center of the fabric.
Crumple up tissue paper and place around the roll (about one sheet circling the entire roll)
Starting at one of the shorter sides of the fabric use the stick to tuck the fabric into the center of the toilet paper roll.
Don’t mind the fruit snacks… I told you my littles wanted to help! 😉
After the last piece is tucked in, leave the stick as the stem.
And there you have it, your first and cutest piece of fall.
