Hi Friends. I hope that your Christmas was absolutely perfect and joyful. Ours was filled with lots of love and joy as my younger sister got engaged on Christmas morning. The poor guy is joining the craziness of the Howard crew. I have 6 sisters and 2 brothers and he comes from a smaller family much like my husbands. We have fully disclosed the chaos and craziness and he loves us all regardless so I think he is a keeper 😉
I bet some of you still have some time off this week? Or maybe your spouse does. If you are looking to add some fun decor to your house and maybe change it up a little.. I have the perfect place for you. & I can guarantee you will find GREAT deals. My all-time favorite place to shop is our local Goodwill. Before you stop reading, hear me out. A few years back my husband and I were on a short term assignment for the military in the middle of nowhere Missouri. I had lots of time to kill so I went exploring. One of the few stores they had in the town was a local Goodwill. I love thrift store finds so I was excited to have a local place to hide while my husband worked. After making a couple trips, and continuously finding target items, I started wondering who the heck in the town was throwing out all their BRAND NEW Target stuff, especially when the closest Target was 2 hours away. I wanted to have a talk with them. 😉 I just had to ask the employees where all this cheap goodness was coming from. The store employee explained to me that they got a shipment of Target “goodies” once a week and they paid a flat rate for whatever came in the truck. After we came returned to our southern California home where we have Targets on every corner, I just couldn’t get that little Goodwill out of my mind. I found the nearest one to me and made a trip. To my GREAT surprise, I found out that they sell Target items as well. In fact, my local Goodwill gets several shipments a week. Of course it is hit and miss, but I have bought several BRAND NEW items that are still in their packages for more than 50% off the original value. This girl loves bargains!!
Some things to keep in mind:
I always check items out before I purchase them. I bought a lamp and lamp shade that didn’t work so I learned my lesson quickly. Very few items can be returned so it is good to ask in case you aren’t sure.
Make sure you call your local store, because not all stores buy from them.
All Target items that have not been used will have a pink tag. They won’t do store discounts on these items, but believe me when I tell you, you are getting a great deal on everything.
Keep your eyes peeled after seasonal items have been taken out of Target because large shipments usually follow. Here are some great finds I have enjoyed!
