We created this entire space for under $1200 by shopping at Restore! Restore sells a variety of items, and is open to the public. They sell new and gently used items for a fraction of the price. You can find appliances, flooring, unique dressers and armoires, and so many great outdoor items.
Backyard Patio
We love relaxing on our patio on summer nights, and we hosting lots of friends is our favorite. This outdoor sectional was one of my favorite finds. It retails for over $1,000 and we got it for under $500 at Habitat for Humanity OC Restore!
The Backyard Dining Area
We eat outside in the backyard a couple times a week, so we wanted our outdoor dining area to function as a place to relax, and enjoy the summer nights. We found the table and potting bench first. Then, with a little paint, both were as good as new. We also purchased old terra cotta pots and hanging lanterns from Restore as well.
The Garden
Every year we plant a garden in our backyard, and when I saw these raised planters at Habitat for Humanity OC Restore, I knew they would be a perfect addition to our affordable backyard makeover.
The Play Ground and Pool
Our kids spend most of their summer days out here in the backyard, so while we want a relaxing atmosphere, we also want the space to be ready for all the life that kids bring. Our stock tank pool and DIY Clubhouse are a favorite DIY projects and go great with the rest of the backyard makeover.
