The bathroom renovation is officially finished!! I cannot believe that we did this project in less than a month. If you saw my post on our bathroom before, you know that we partnered with our local Habitat for Humanity of Orange County ReStore. Our bathroom was old, had major water damage, and we started seeing mold in the corners about a year ago.  We needed to renovate, but had a very small budget to fix the space. Since we do most of our projects on a budget, we knew finding our items at Habitat for Humanity ReStore would help us achieve the most cost effective renovation.

We purchased our bathtub, flooring, shower tile, vanity, light fixture, and toilet all from Habitat for Humanity of Orange County ReStore.  There was everything we needed and more! You can check out my shopping adventures and design process on my instagram highlights.

Here is our bathroom when we first moved in. We had done some light cosmetic fixes on this space a few years ago!  This space needed some big upgrades and we knew it was time when we noticed the mold and bathtub peeling.

Working with Habitat for Humanity of Orange County ReStore on this project was amazing! Their staff was so helpful! Their stores are clean, organized, and easy to search through. They have everything from light fixtures, appliances, flooring, cabinets and even furniture! I was amazed at the items we found at our local store! You can still use my code ‘Taylor” for 15% off the Anaheim and Santa Ana locations. You can check out my post on purchasing the best vanity option for your space.

I went into this project thinking we could quickly repair some walls, paint, and add new tile. We ended up tearing down the walls to the studs because of the water damage and mold. We could have done patch work, but we knew that it would be easier, and beneficial long-term to start from scratch. Tearing down walls was messy and hard, but I wanted the bathroom renovation to be done right, so it was well worth the mess!
