Front Door Update

This front door update was so easy! I love paint you guys. I bought quart of black matte paint from Home Depot a few months ago and I have used it for my bathroom vanity, fireplace, and now two doors in our house. The total cost of all three of these projects was $16. You can’t beat updates like that.

If you are thinking about painting something. Go for it. The best thing about paint is you can always paint it again!

I used interior/exterior paint for this project and I always buy Behr paint. When I purchased the paint I chose the color “black”. This is a true shade of black with no undertone. The most important thing to remember when painting a door is wiping it down thoroughly before painting.

Also, just know that all doors see a lot of wear and tear so just know that you’ll have to touch it up a few years down the road.

The last time I painted this door was 5 years ago. It was definitely time for an update. This project took me about 2 hours. I was able to start and finish the project while baby napped.
